Transfer Policies
|
Producers ready to transfer to BHC Marketing should discuss this with their current carrier or wholesaler. Listed below are summaries of carriers' transfer policies.
For more detail or to discuss transferring, please contact the carrier directly. BHC Marketing neither encourages nor prohibits transfers, nor can we negotiate side
deals for releases.

AIG American General
Policies:
Transfers are allowed with release if there has been no production in six (6) months; otherwise, release is needed.
Procedure:
Complete and submit a transfer form (include release letter if needed).

Policies:
If no production in last six (6) months, immediate transfer is allowed. If production during past six (6) months, submitting new contracting paperwork will permit a transfer in six (6) months.

ForeThought
Policies:
If no production in last six (6) months, immediate transfer is allowed; otherwise, release is needed using Information & Appointment Change Request form.
Procedure:
Producers must submit new contracting paperwork along with letter stating they want to be released from former marketing company and contracted through BHC. If production within last six (6) months, release from current marketing company required using Information & Appointment Change Request form along with new contracting paperwork.

Policies:
Producers are eligible for transfer following twelve (12) months of non-production, or immediately with signed release.
Procedure:
Producers eligible for transfer must submit new contracting paperwork.

Policies:
Basically, agent falls into one of two categories: 1. If they have not submitted business within the last 6 months, then they need to submit business with their transmittal form in order to transfer. 2. If they have submitted business within the last 6 months, then they will be put in a pending status for 6 months from the date of their last business. They will be able to transfer after 6 months.
Procedure:

Lincoln Financial (JP)
Policies:
Agents may transfer anytime, including within the first contract year. Transfer will be immediate regardless of past productivity. Agents must transfer at same level and stay at that level for at least 6 months. Call BHC for details
Procedure:
New contracting paperwork must be submitted with a letter requesting a transfer.

Policies:
Transfers are not necessary. Producers may hold more than one contract.

Policies:
If no production in last six (6) months, complete and submit a Hierarchy Change Form.
If production during past six (6) months:
1. Complete and submit a Hierarchy Change Form.
2. A letter will be sent to the current MGA by OFMN upon receipt of the Hierarchy Change Form.
3. Thirty (30) days before six (6) month waiting period ends from the original transfer request, agent must submit a letter or email reaffirming his intention to transfer to new MGA.
4. OMFN sends a letter acknowledging the transfer to both hierarchies upon completion of the transfer.

The agent will be transferred immediately with a release letter from the existing IMO.

Policies:
Transfers are allowed without release if there has been no production within the past six (6) months. Release required if contracted less than six (6) months, or if agent has production within past six (6) months.
