Lee R. Howard, President
Howard’s insurance career began in 1979 as a Rookie of the Year agent in Minneapolis. In 1982, he expanded
his practice to include securities and joined a financial planning firm where he earned numerous production
awards and received widespread industry recognition. In 1985, Howard founded a Minneapolis-based Registered
Investment Advisory firm, which he operated successfully until 1988, when he started BHC Marketing.
Howard is a frequent contributor to industry publications and the creator of several marketing system tools
widely used by producers nationwide, including The Complete TRFA Marketing System©, 10 Painless Steps to a
Worry-Free Retirement©, Reverse Mortgages: Turning Home Equity into Lifestyle©, and Alternatives to Long-Term
Care Insurance©.
A graduate of Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Howard completed extensive graduate work in business administration.

Shelby J. Smith, COO & SVP
Smith joined BHC in March of 2003 as president of the e-Service Division. Prior to joining the company,
Smith was an advisor in the forming of Exclusive Producers Network, since merged into BHC and renamed BHC e-Services.
This e-Service format is the first such operating platform in the independent distribution channel for fixed annuities and is currently
an integral part of BHC's overall operations.
Smith has an extensive background in banking, insurance, securities and financial
services marketing. He was the founder and CEO of one of the first marketing companies to offer insurance and brokerage products
nationally through financial institutions. He has been the chief executive officer of several Texas banking organizations and served two
terms on the board of directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas. Smith is a frequent contributor to trade publications and a
speaker at industry conferences.
Smith holds BS and MBA degrees from the University of Wyoming. He has an earned Ph.D. in Economics from Iowa State University
of Science and Technology and taught for several years at the university level.

Harry D. Eulitt, SVP & National Sales Director
Eulitt joined BHC Marketing in 1996 as Senior Vice President. He began his insurance career in 1969 as an agent with
American National Insurance Company. He qualified as a lifetime member of the President’s Club, ranking in the top 10%
of agents nationally. In his 26 years with American National, he moved through the sales and marketing ranks eventually
becoming vice president, director of marketing.
Eulitt has extensive experience in marketing, training, product development, customer service and administration. He
has developed and implemented strategies that have dramatically improved production, agent retention and profitability.
Eulitt earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Redlands and an MBA from the University of Houston. He is a
Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and registered securities representative.
